Christian History is first published.

It is published and edited by Thomas Prince Jr. and printed by Kneeland and Green from a shop on Dorsett Alley near today’s 35 State Street. An eight-page weekly, it claims to be “the first religious newspaper in the world,” covers religions developments in Great Britain as well as the Colonies, and promotes the Great Awakening. It continues to publish until 1745.
